Infuriating

Those damn operator fools! How dare they! If that stupid first 9-1-1 operator had responded, that boy's mother would not be dead! But now, that 5 year old boy, who was very scared and trying to save his mother's life, now has lost his mother, because of the sheer stupidity of those 9-1-1 operators. Ok, maybe if it had been a prankster, they should have sent police to deal with it. At least then, there would have been a chance for the mother to survive! But now that boy's mother is gone. Yes, the boy was only five years old, but that is no excuse. I can understand if the boy said, "A load of guys with machine guns just tied up my mommy!", but that's not the case, he said his mother was passed out in the kitchen. At least that's believable! The first operator who took it as a prank should be sued, jailed, or pay whatever consequences come her way for that! Ugh, I feel so wrathful right now after seeing that. What do you guys think?

Cloverfield

Cloverfield is coming in just 3 days! This is great. I've been waiting so long for this movie, and when Saturday morning comes, I'll be going off to see it. The movie theaters nearby still don't have any showtimes yet, which frustrates me, but I'll be patient. I waited this long for the movie to come out, after all. I'll survive.

News Articles and such

Here's some interesting things I found today:

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - What the ...? A St. Louis-area town is considering a bill that would ban swearing in bars, along with table-dancing, drinking contests and profane music.
City officials contend the bill is needed to keep rowdy crowds under control because the historic downtown area gets a little too lively on some nights.
City Councilman Richard Veit said he was prompted to propose the bill after complaints about bad bar behavior. He says it will give police some rules to enforce when things get too rowdy.

Take the swearing out of bars? That's like taking the beer out of baseball stadiums. If you do it, mass hysteria. Won't work. If the bill is passed, the barkeepers are going to go out of business.

Here's another one:

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka - The president of the Maldives was saved from assassination Tuesday when a boy scout grabbed the knife of an attacker who had jumped out of a crowd greeting the leader, an official said.
President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom was not hurt, but his shirt was ripped when the attacker tried to stab him before the boy and security guards intervened during the event on the small island of Horafushi, said government spokesman Mohammad Shareef.
“This fellow in the crowd with a knife in his hand attempted to stab the president in his stomach,” Shareef said by telephone from Male, the capital. “But a 15-year-old boy came in the way, and grabbed the knife. One brave boy saved the president’s life.”

I think that's so awesome. Just shows you that anyone can do anything, even save lives. It may sound like a Spy Kids movie moment, but it's true.

And one more:

NAMPA, Idaho - A cat picked the wrong place to come in from the cold and caused a power outage that blacked out more than 12,000 homes and businesses.
The cat entered an electrical substation, snuggled up to a warm transformer and contacted a live circuit, causing a short that blew out nine feeder lines Monday afternoon, Idaho Power officials said.
Service was restored in less than three hours to most customers, including City Hall, where the lights came on in time for a City Council meeting, utility spokesman Dennis Lopez said.

That's just hilarious. "Mommy, did curiosity kill the kitty?" "No, the fuse box electrocuted it."

Britney Spears: "Not a child", so why is she acting like one?

Here's a news article I just found:

LOS ANGELES - Television’s “Dr. Phil” McGraw has pulled the plug on plans for a one-hour show that was to examine Britney Spears’ latest public meltdown.
Celebrity Web site TMZ.com had reported on Sunday that Spears’ parents were scheduled to appear on the show Tuesday.

In a statement posted Monday on his Web site, McGraw said the 26-year-old pop star’s situation was “too intense” for him to go forward with the show. He didn’t say whether he planned to reschedule.
Spears was hospitalized Thursday night after a child custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline resulted in an hours-long standoff with police. On Friday, a court commissioner gave sole physical and legal custody of 1-year-old Jayden James and 2-year-old Sean Preston to Federline.
McGraw said he met with Spears for an hour Saturday before she left the hospital.
But according to TMZ, Dr. Phil showed up in Spears’ hospital room on Saturday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles without the pop star's invitation.
She had been admitted on late Thursday after a custody confrontation at her home that ended in hysterics by the troubled pop star, several media outlets reported.
Sources told TMZ that Spears' parents, Lynne and James, were the ones who asked Dr. Phil to help her. When he entered Spears' room, she reportedly walked out and returned later. Sources say he tried to speak to Spears for 15 minutes and later followed the star out to her car as she left the hospital.
A spokeswoman for the hospital declined comment citing patient confidentiality, and a representative for McGraw could not be reached.

Ok, point number 1:

Let's have some applause for Mr. and Mrs. Spears. At last, they're doing something to save the small shred of reputation Britney has left! I mean, where have they been all this time while her daughter had two kids with a complete idiot, was destroying her body with drugs, and was getting into trouble with the law? Did the big network celebrity gossip shows ever say anything about Brit's parents stepping in? Not that I ever heard. Although I do wonder why it took so long for James and Lynn to step up and try to help Britney, I'm happy to see that something is finally happening. And wise choice going to Dr. Phil. Fix a broken celebrity with one who knows what he's doing 24/7. "That might help!"

Point number 2:

Pulling the show, despite Brit's condition, was a bad move. If there was ever a time to make Britney face reality, it would be by rubbing salt in her wounds. She'd be there, in the hospital, watching the show, and maybe, if a complete miracle happened, she'd think to herself, Daaaaamn! I've really not been doin' so good, y'all! When the show airs, Britney will be sluttin' it up at the nightclubs, feeling like more than a queen again, and the show won't have as much impact.

Point number 3:

Britney's newest single, "Piece of Me", is a public challenge, in my opinion. The lyrics are styled to show that Britney knows what people say about her, and she's not ignoring it any longer. When I first heard the song, I was impressed. Britney was finally defending herself. Good for her. And then I found out that the song and video were made on November 27th. And my respect for Britney was lost again. Because since November 27th, she's still done stupid things for shows like "Extra" to put on their nightly routine of airing "Brit Watch". The song was a good idea, but it was nothing but an angry response. Britney hasn't changed. And unless God Himself speaks to her, she probably never will.

Recent Happenings

I just stepped into my blog about two moments ago, found 2 comments about my post concerning furries. I got one commenter who was not too thrilled with my post, and one commenter with some interesting criticism. In a nutshell, one nice comment and one not too nice. I tend to take comments on any internet thing and look at them as ways of improving my own views, so I read both and thought them over. This post isn't about talking over those comments, it's jsut that this is a blog and current thoughts always go out in front of whatever you wanted to originally post first. Now I'm thinking that it's just nice to get a comment or two once in a while! :)

So anyway; my PSP is great. It stores music, photos, plays movies and games. I've bought and beaten the Simpsons game, bought Tomb Raider: Anniversary, and I'm almost done with Daxter. It's been a decent Saturday. Went to a friend's house, had to help taking down the Christmas stuff around the house. Not fun with the weather so cold. I had to put the outside decorations up myself, and I had to take them down myself too. Dissapointing.
Recently, I finally found and purchased Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album. It's awesome. My favorite track so far is Brain Damage. Does that sound weird to anyone? Lol.
Yesterday I discovered something really interesting. It's a sort of game based on if you could start life over. Google "Alter Ego". It'll have a website name like Blackforge.net or something. Try it, and then tell me what you thought of it. It's pretty impressive to me.

Now onto my main thought of the day: The Iowa Caucases. (Did I spell "Caucas" right?) Barack Obama is now the frontrunner for the Democrats, that's as much as I know. I had a strong feeling it'd turn out that way. Hillary Clinton is no longer in the lead, and that makes me happy. I do not want her to win. It's not like I'm of voting age yet, but still, I'm smart enough to know Hillary wouldn't do her job. And please, don't jump on me because of the whole, You don't want Hillary 'cause she's a WOMAN! thing up, because that jsut isn't the case. I'd love to see a woman win. America needs a president who isn't a big fat lazy white guy who flips a quarter now and then to make decisions. (Keep in mind that I am white.) It's just not Hillary who should be that woman to make history. First of all, she did NOT spend nearly enough time as a senator, and she was a senator in a place that wasn't even her original hometown! I mean, come on lady, have some loyalty! And of course, after being cheated on by Bill, she kept him by her side? So foolish. I also just have a general feeling that she won't do a good job. Now for Barack Obama: I really like Obama. I want him to be the president. I've seen a Meet the Press episode where Barack was interviewed in late November, and liked what I heard. And let's not jump immediately to skin color, but I also want to see a president who's black, or at least has some African-American lineage. A friend of mine once said, "The only way this country is going to open its eyes is if we have a Black, Gay, Jewish woman for President."
He was making a joke, of course, but I felt it held some truth. And of course, I have an overall feeling that Obama would make a really good president. He'd do a much better job than Hillary and Bush combined. Something interesting: 57% of Obama's voters were between the ages of 17-24. That's so great to me. I mean, these are people really close to my age, and more than half of the leaders votes were from them? Wow.
Well, I'm done typing for the moment. Just as a note, the only reason I didn't put any views on the Republicans is because I barely know anything about them. My father's mainly Republican, and I'm too young to make a decision, not having enough info about the two main parties.

Now, time to listen to some Dark Side of the Moon!

"The lunatic is in my head..."

Update

Christmas was great for me. My family and I had an awesome time together, and I got a PSP! Wow. Not once did I forget the true meaning of CHRISTmas, which is, of course, Jesus. :)

Right now I'm going to head over to a friend's house and make a video with them for Youtube. We go under the name Ownage9418. Enjoy the videos if you get a look.

Wow. This just may be the best marketing strategy I have ever seen. Not only did Burger King just prove that their customers need them as much as Burger King needs the customers, but they just also showed that the Whopper truly the ultimate burger. There is no subsitute.
